You Can Make a Difference - The Van Challenge!
Applewood Centers needs your help to purchase more vans to transport youth to campus for the After School Program (ASP). ASP is an intensive group counseling program for youth 6-17 who require significant behavioral health intervention but are able to live in the community. In a structured setting, youth develop anger management, coping, problem solving, and relationship skills.
The youth served by ASP do not have reliable transportation, so they depend on staff to drive them to campus in vans and return them home safely at the end of the day. Currently, Applewood has a small fleet of vans, each able to transport up to 7 clients, but not enough to continue to grow this program to meet the community need.
Applewood Centers has received a $15,000 challenge to get started on purchasing the first van! Please consider how you can make a difference by responding to the challenge with your donation to Applewood.
