OUR MISSION
We bring people together by using old printing presses to amplify new voices, share knowledge, and spark creativity.
Here's a case of letterpress type. And here’s our case for giving, so that our community partnerships will persist during COVID and beyond.
Why support one cause when you can support them all?
When you support Partners in Print, you’re actually giving a boost to the other causes you hold dear to your heart. Do you care about freedom of speech, defending democracy, civil rights, the healing power of poetry, creative thinking, or preserving hand craft and typographic history? All these causes, and countless others, have been served through the impossible-to-ignore, visual and tangible exclamation point of letterpress books, broadsides, and posters—the very forms of art, design, writing, and communication we keep alive at Partners in Print.
In a world gone digital, we are the analog holdouts: the advocates for getting one’s point across with type, ink, and paper. It’s been a remarkably effective way to change minds and tell stories for the last 500 plus years. And, with your financial support, we’ll do our part to keep the presses rolling during the COVID era, too.
Projects Needing Your Support
• Continuing a 10-year tradition of producing Children’s Hospital poetry broadsides
• Creating an accessible, digital archive of Children’s Hospital broadsides
• Engaging more communities with letterpress
• More Long-Distance Letterpress classes for printers from around the world
• Developing plans for a post-COVID community space for our presses, type, and equipment
• A website for Partners in Print that serves all of these programs and more
