We are seeking to build on our success by dramatically expanding the impact of the CSC’s training and mentoring initiative for future scientists, professors, and cultural influencers.
One part of this initiative is our annual in-person summer seminar held in July in Colorado. But now we would like to add seminars, networking meetings, and outreach events for young scientists, scholars, and faculty in Cambridge (UK), Africa, South America, Asia, and continental Europe. We also need to ramp up our ability to mentor and stay in contact with the hundreds of graduates of our seminars as they navigate the early years of their careers. Our training and mentoring initiative is one of the most strategic things we do.
While the 2023 in-person seminar in the United States has been funded by a donor, we are now seeking funds to enable us to expand our efforts as described above.
Here's how your gift can help:
$150 mentors one student for one quarter.
$300 mentors one student for half a year.
$600 mentors one student for a full year.
$1,000 supports travel, food, and lodging for a student/faculty to participate in a networking meeting.
$2,500 underwrites travel and lodging for one of our scientists/scholars to participate in an outreach event in Africa, Asia, South America, or Europe.
$4,500 funds one student’s costs (lodging, food, travel, and educational materials) in our new planned Cambridge UK summer seminar in 2024.
NOTE: To ensure your full donation goes to the Summer Seminar programs, no premium is being offered for donations.

Participants have the chance to be further mentored by Discovery Institute staff and fellows after the formative week is over. Not only do we provide a life-changing seminar for young scholars and professionals, but we also offer a mentorship program that keeps them rooted in the ever-growing network of ID advocates.
