The Foundation was launched in 2019 by Oak Island residents as a separate and independent financial entity from the Town of Oak Island.

The purpose of the Foundation is to receive, invest, and utilize funds, property and in-kind donations, grants, gifts, bequests, and the like, to improve, enhance and strengthen the parks in the Town, thereby increasing the quality of life for Oak Island citizens.

The Foundation is also committed to aiding families of our community without the ability to pay, to access the programs and activities provided by the town parks, regardless of race, gender identity, creed, ethnic background, national origin, age, religion, marital status, or conditions of physical handicap.

The Foundation is a 501C3; EIN #83-3856908.

As a separate and independent financial entity from the Town of Oak Island, our purpose is to receive, invest, and utilize funds, property and in-kind donations, grants, gifts, bequests, and the like, to strengthen the parks in the Town. We are also committed to assisting the poor, distressed and underprivileged to gain access to the programs and activities provided by the town parks without regard to race, gender, creed, ethnic background, national origin, age, religion, martial status, or conditions of physical handicap.

The Oak Island Friends of Parks Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit accepting donations for specific projects that will enhance the quality of life for Oak Island through the Parks and Recreation.
