THE RIGHT TO READ
A documentary about the early literacy crisis from award winning director Jenny Mackenzie, and executive producers Amy Redford, Katy Bettner, and Allison Gushée Molkenthin.
The Right to Read shares the stories of three American families, a courageous activist, and a state senator who fight to provide our youngest generation with the most foundational indicator of life-long success: the ability to read. Despite barriers like socio-economic status, racism, and language, our characters fight to close disparity gaps with educational technology and early reading programs grounded in science.
