On February 7, 2020 a tornado touched down at Warrior Canine Connection's Healing Quarters (HQ) in Boyds, Md., causing significant property damage. Thankfully no person or animal was harmed during the storm, but WCC is now facing the daunting task of rebuilding HQ quickly in order to continue our "No Fail Mission" of providing highly trained service dogs to Veterans and Wounded Warriors.
Your gift today will directly contribute towards repairing the structural and property damages caused by the storm. WCC will continue to operate during the rebuilding, providing our Mission Based Trauma Recovery program to Veterans throughout the Washington, D.C. area and across our multiple sites nationwide.
Warrior Canine Connection utilizes a Mission Based Trauma Recovery model to help recovering Warriors with visible and invisible wounds reconnect with life, their families, their communities, and each other. By interacting with the dogs as they move from puppyhood to training to adult service dogs, Warrior Trainers benefit from a physiological and psychological animal-human connection. As a result of their efforts, Veterans with disabilities receive the finest in trained service dogs.
