Since 2008, Virginia Western's nationally recognized Community College Access Program (CCAP) has brought our communities together to make college possible. More than 2,200 energetic, dedicated and talented high school graduates in our service area have received $4.4 million in tuition assistance, freeing them from student debt and changing lives - and our region - one student at a time.
And now, it's time to do more. It's time for CCAP to grow to meet the real-world needs of our workforce and our future. Through our CCAP2 campaign, Virginia Western will be able to expand and enhance the program to pave the way forward by:
- Allowing opportunities for students to complete workforce training programs accompanied by national industry-recognized certifications.
- Making eligible part-time enrollment – because our students work.
- Extending the program to three years for completion, aligning CCAP with national, statewide and local trends and program completion requirements.
Virginia Western is building on our successes to create a brighter future. CCAP is a partnership between our localities, business, industry, foundations, families, and friends. CCAP is all of us, together.
