There are hundreds of organizations locally, many of which may fit into your beliefs and desires.  At the Urban League of Rochester, we appreciate how difficult this decision can be, which is why we would like to help you make an informed decision.  When choosing who to give to, many people look at reputation, longevity, and success rates.  The Urban League is a national affiliate that has been around for over 51 years.  We are one of the top five most successful Urban Leagues in the nation, and pride ourselves on our program success.  With over 30 programs we provide services for many of the initiatives people are most passionate about today, including: education, family and children services, developmental disabilities, services to senior citizens, business development services, and housing and economic development services.  Top concerns at the forefront of today’s society are the causes of economic injustice and grassroots community issues, both of which make the Urban League a sure choice that will help shape our communities future.
