While short notice, I have decided to represent the Turner Syndrome Foundation while I run the Maine Seacoast Marathon on May 10, 2015. I am running for TSF in honor of my late aunt Tina Marie Mitchell. Tina passed away in 1999, from cardiac complications related to TS. Tina was an amazing person in every aspect, who was taken far too early. It is my hope that fundraising for the TSF will provide more support for research to help other families facing TS diagnoses.

The goal of the Turner Syndrome Foundation (TSF) is to support research initiatives and develop educational programs which will increase professional awareness and enhance medical care of those affected by Turner Syndrome. Early diagnosis and comprehensive treatments over the lifespan will lead to a brighter and healthier future for all young girls and women with Turner Syndrome. TSF is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization EIN# 27-1409942.
