The mission of the James River Association is to be a guardian of the James River, providing a voice for the river and taking action to promote conservation and responsible stewardship.

We work to keep Virginia moving forward to fully implement the cleanup plans and help communities realize the benefits from a healthy James River.

Together with our supporters and partners, we’re changing water quality, behavior and policy in ways that improve and enhance our community. The James is definitely on the comeback – but we need your help to keep making progress.
