Ever have an idea worthy of the stage? Seattle Playwrights Salon is excited to host our first fundraising raffle and select six winners to share their ideas and spark
a new collection of 10-minute plays written by local playwrights. These plays will then be featured at the Salon's inaugural Shorts Festival in November 2020. Winning ticket-holders will be invited to attend a rehearsal and an opening night reception with the playwrights, director, cast and Salon team.Sparks will Fly with Your Support
Our Spark a Play raffle will help launch a series of quarterly staged readings dedicated to musicals. By buying just one ticket, you'll be paying for three hours of rehearsal space. And it just gets better from there--four tickets help support an actor's stipend, while 10 tickets cover the costs of a performance space, and 100 tickets pay for all of the musical equipment!Spark A Play Details:
- Tickets may be purchased anytime before 7:00 PM on February 27, 2020--one entry for $15, four for $50, or ten for $100.
- Winning ticket-holders will be selected at random at the Salon's February 27th show. If not present, winners will be notified the following week.
- Each winner will be sent a form asking them to identify a theme and setting, name up to four characters, and pick one object of interest. A group of amazing northwest playwrights will use this information to inspire an original 10-minute play that will be featured at the Salon's Shorts Festival in November 2020. (Please note that all rights to these plays will be reserved by the playwrights.)
- Winners will get an early preview of the plays and will be invited to attend a rehearsal and an opening night reception with the playwrights, director, cast and Salon team.Other Ways to Show Your Support
