My name is Ariel, and I am a graduating senior at Harvard University. For the past four years, I have been working in the Mission Hill community of Boston, MA with the Mission Hill After School Program (MHASP) and the Mission Hill Summer Program (MHSP). This summer, I am SO EXCITED to be back for another summer and directing the Summer Program again. If you know me even a little bit, you know that I never stop talking about my kiddos, and I have loved watching them grow and learn and have fun and surprise me and teach me things too — these students and their families mean the world to me.
Just because we're apart doesn't mean that we can't be connected, and just because a pandemic has paused much of the world doesn't mean that the needs of children and families and communities have also been put on pause. We still strive+work+show up, so that every day spent at MHSP is better than a day not spent at MHSP — this summer, although unusual, will hopefully be no different.
If you are able, please consider donating to MHSP and supporting our team as we create THE BEST summer experience for our young people — each of whom deserves an army of humans who believes in them.
Thank you oodles, from me and our kiddos :)
(p.s. — if you have any questions or want to know more about MHSP or MHASP, please send an email my way! email@example.com)
