Ever since I was 13 years old, I have been associated/working with the Mission Hill Summer Program, a summer camp which aims to provide the youth of this Boston community with an enriching and safe summer. I started as an "Oldest Boy," became a Junior Counselor, and now I am a Senior Counselor. This has been an experience that has changed my life and the relationships I developed both with my campers and my co-workers are long-lasting ones.

This summer, due to COVID-19, Mission Hill will not be conducted in person–however, I still have the opportunity to connect with these children via online enrichment. The camp, run through the Phillips Brooks House Association at Harvard, will provide each camper with a tablet/laptop and other resources to continue our mission to impact children's summers.

Please consider donating. Even a small amount will help! $15 covers an at-home planting  kit; $20 covers a book set; $45 covers the cost for one camper this summer; $50 covers an environmental science kit–Every donation counts!

It is on us to make sure that our children are still having a great summer throughout this pandemic and rough school year.
Thank you for your support!

The Mission Hill Summer Program will be providing campers with laptops/tablets, academic supplies, physical activity supplies, and so much more as we strive to impact the youth in the city of Boston, giving them the opportunity to create memories and create change.

Mission Hill Summer Program (MHSP) seeks to foster academic and personal developmental skills among Mission Hill youth in an interactive, innovative, and enjoyable learning environment. MHSP’s college and high school student staff aim to strengthen academic, violence prevention, and community building skills of each camper by exposing them to new concepts and ideas.

MHSP serves 80 campers and their families with an affordable and engaging seven-week summer day camp while employing at least nine teens from Mission Hill. Founded in 1989 at the request of Mission Hill parents, MHSP has become an institution in the neighborhood, developing deep partnerships with families and community-based organizations. MHSP offers a safe environment for campers to learn through classroom instruction, public service projects, and field trips.
