International Orphan Aid was founded to fund works which establish 'harbors of safety' for orphans and abandoned children in nations around the world.

Our current project is BYKOTA HOUSE, a safe home for orphans and abandoned children and is located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. BYKOTA HOUSE provides full-time care in a residential family-setting, and supplies the children with all necessities such as nutritional support, access to education, medical and dental care among others.

International Orphan Aid, Inc. is incorporated in the US state of Oklahoma and is registered with the Internal Revenue Service and approved as a tax-exempt, public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our EIN is #27-2403326. Donor reports are made available for review annually.

International Orphan Aid ensures that employer matched contributions do not fund religious activities such as worship or proselytizing where prohibited.

"Be Ye Kind One To Another"
We invite you to come alongside us in this journey!

BYKOTA HOUSE is a children's home that, unlike an orphanage or an institution, is based on the God-given model of a family. We are blessed to have some of the most precious children in Cambodia set into our family. Several of our children have special physical challenges that make their life much more difficult; requiring special care and nutrition. Visit our YouTube channel to learn more!

"God sets the solitary into families" Psalms 68

BYKOTA HOUSE receives children who have been orphaned through death or abandonment.  Children are not refused based on the basis of religion or physical illness or disabilities.  Many of our children have extended family members who love them but are not able to take them into their own home and care for them on a permanent basis. We encourage these family relationships  to continue and the children often visit their extended family during national holidays and school breaks.

"External religious worship, [religion as it is expressed in outward acts] that is pure and unblemished in the sight of God the Father is this: to visit and help and care for the orphans and widows in their affliction and need" James 1:27a Amplified

BYKOTA HOUSE is a project of International Orphan Aid, a non-profit organization as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service, United States of America.  We maintain a Memorandum Of Understanding, MOU, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cambodia and also an approved project agreement with Cambodia's Ministry of Social Affairs.

Mark and Rhonda Benz Family

Founders Mark and Rhonda Benz of Carthage, Missouri, USA; moved to Cambodia in October of 2004 with three biological children and two recently adopted Cambodian children.

Here is what Mrs. Benz had to say about their decision to leave jobs, family, and friends and make this move half-way around the world to live in Cambodia.

"Having our hearts turned towards Cambodia through an international adoption, we were all burdened by the conditions we found the children living in at the orphanages we visited. After returning home with the two children we adopted both Mark and I were not released from the memory of children not yet adopted. At first we tried to work from our home in Missouri to improve the conditions at these orphanages.  However, we quickly realized that to effect lasting change someone needed to be there, eyes, hands and feet on the ground, in Cambodia. Following our announcement to our families and friends of our plans, we began forming partnerships for the work in Cambodia. We moved our family to Cambodia in October, 2004. Since then our vision has grown and so has our family with the adoption of three additional children.

The Lord has blessed the work of our hands in establishing our own children's home, Bykota House, and later a private school, School Of The Nations.

Above all else we desire to live a life which is pleasing to our Lord and to daily walk in obedience.

We are blessed to share with you how God is moving in Cambodia.  James 1:27a tells us "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this; to look after orphans and widows in their distress..." for us the words "to look after" means to care for in the same manner as one's own child.

We invite you to come alongside us in this journey and become a partner today!"
