Napa Valley College Food Basket
The Napa Valley College (NVC) Food Basket is committed to providing healthy food options while meeting the hunger needs of our students.
The food basket feeds 310 students with approximately 1200 bags of groceries monthly. The average students receives $32 worth of groceries per month. The monthly need is great, and the cost to sustain the operation of the Food Basket program is nearly $10,000 a month. With the overwhelming need, and with fewer employment opportunities for students and their families, the value of the food basket in the daily lives of students has never been greater.
The NVC Food Basket is largely funded generously by the kindness of donors within our community. Your willingness to help our vulnerable NVC students is critical now, more than ever, in thew midst of the COVID-19 crisis.
Any donation amount can greatly impact student lives and help them to succeed with one less hurdle to overcome. Contributions can be a one time donation or even reoccurring with any amount you choose.
The NVC Office of Student Life also accepts grocery donations on site through their office. They can be contacted by phone at (707) 256-7340 or by fax at (707) 256-7343.
