The Napa Valley College (NVC) MESA/STEM Center serves as a hub for our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students. Our Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) program is the heart of our MESA/STEM Center. It was established on our campus in the fall of 1999 to serve educationally underrepresented students and encourages them through a wide range of services to develop the necessary academic and leadership skills to successfully transfer and later graduate from a four year university with a degree in mathematics, engineering, science or computer science.
MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) California Community College Program
(CCCP) is an academic preparation program that assists economically disadvantaged (eligible for
financial aid) community college students to succeed in math, science, and engineering so they can transfer to four-year institutions and successfully attain degrees in these fields.
To support the national science and mathematics educational agenda by ensuring that all MESA
students are mathematically and scientifically literate so that they can play a leadership role in an
increasingly technological world.
The MESA model for success includes a variety of services that results in a high rate of academic
achievement. Click on the brochure and PowerPoint for more information.
