✨SPREAD LOVE + SHINE LIGHT✨ Orenda Tribe COVID 19 Fund

Navajo Nation has been hit hard by Dikos Ntsaaígíí-19 (COVID-19).  As of Tuesday, May 18th, 2020 Navajo Nation has surpassed New York City in rates per capita. Navajo has a population of roughly 173,000 people.

At least 30% of Navajo homes have no running water and among the 55,000 homes located on the 27,000 square mile reservation, about 15,000 do not have electricity.

Orenda Tribe is working with our community to bring critical aid to those most in need in Navajo Nation. Working with Chenoa Bah of First Nations Community Healthsource , Dr. Michelle Tom/ United Natives , Tohaali’ Community School in Two Grey Hills/Toadlena Chapter, on daily deliveries to help those in highly impacted zones of Navajo Nation.

We have partnered with NDN Collective to receive monetary donations that will fund the vital work we do on the Navajo Nation, bringing critical aid, masks, PPE, and food.

The funds from this campaign will be used to: finance critical aid:

  1. quickturn production of protective cloth masks with our sisters @byellowtail which distribute to

all areas of the Navajo reservation to slow the spread of COVID 19,

  2. the purchase of medical PPE for our front line healthcare workers under the guidance of Dr. Michelle Tom, and

  3. non-perishable healthy meals to our COVID 19 positive families and unsheltered relatives.
