Where does the money go? The Mount Baker Community Club, a 501© non-profit organization was founded in 1909 and is one of the oldest self-funded community clubs in the US. Throughout the year, we host community forums, social gatherings, lectures, performances and children's programs. Our Clubhouse, originally built in 1914, is itself an architectural landmark and is the first and last stop on this tour. All ticket proceeds go to the operation of the clubhouse and help to subsidize free and low-cost events throughout the year.
Who attends? The 2018 tour was a great success attracting nearly 500 attendees on a stunning day. We are targeting a 50% increase in attendance this year with a new emphasis placed on social media, digital marketing, and publicity to get us to this goal!
New this year! We are introducing a Pop-Up Shop of a dozen unique artisans at the Clubhouse, and are inviting our local community businesses to become involved. This venue will be completely open to the public the day of the tour.
