With these 8 programs, we are ending homelessness for people living with HIV/AIDS.
Are you living with HIV/AIDS and homeless? Come to Living Room during our office hours, and you will be offered an immediate housing option that very same day. We see to it that no individual or family affected by HIV/AIDS ever returns to or enters into homelessness. No appointment necessary.
Through centralized intake and our comprehensive network of resources and partners, we assist and receive all HIV-supportive housing applications in the region and connect you to the exact services you need. We provide intake for Edgewood Center, Legacy Village, Legacy House, Matthew’s Place, and Jerusalem House.
Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)
Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) helps you maintain housing by providing monthly rental subsidies. Home visits are conducted by case managers monthly. While in TBRA, you and one of our case managers will work side-by-side to create a housing plan, focusing on saving money, paying off debt, paying monthly bills on time, and any other goals necessary for you to achieve housing stability.
Special Needs Housing Assistance Program (SNHAP)
If you live with a mental health condition, suffer from an addiction, and/or face discrimination based on your gender expression, Living Room can help by finding you a specialized residential and/or treatment program for up to 2 years. Through case management, monthly subsidies, and our expertly-trained residential partners, we walk with you on a path toward housing stability and sobriety, if needed.
First Month’s Rent
Moving into a new space can seem impossible if you are required to pay first month’s rent and a deposit at the same time. That’s why we will help you by covering your first month’s rent.
Short-Term Rent Mortgage Utility Assistance
Life rarely goes as planned. Perhaps you’ve been thrown a real curve ball and aren’t sure how you’re going to pay rent or a bill. Living Room offers a one-time assistance with rent, mortgage, or utility payments if you experience an unexpected financial burden.
Discharged from a hospital with no place to go? Living Room can provide a place for you to stay for 60 days. During this time, one of our case managers will help you secure more stable housing and connect you to other services, such as medical care, benefits, and food.
Have a question about housing or looking for a new living space but don’t know what your options are? Come visit Living Room, and one of our housing specialists can go over your housing options with you or answer any questions you might have. Finding housing can be tough. That’s why we make sure you never have to do it alone.
