Lena Park will be hosting “Coming Home” on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 6:00pm.
This “not your average gala” is interactive, innovative, imaginative and enjoyable. Guests will mingle with board, staff, members, and residents, as Lena Park’s broad array of programs and services are highlighted in demonstration, performance, and Q&A.
Guests can elect to challenge a child to a chess match, join a team to play basketball against our pee wee league, learn a soul line dance or African Dance, walk through our visual art exhibit, create something in one of our 3-D printers in the new Fab Lab, and much more! Guests can also enjoy wonderful food and beverages from around the world.
Our children’s orchestra will open the program promptly at 6:00pm followed by a welcome and instructions. Each guest will receive an individualized schedule for the evening, in order to interact with as many programs as possible and so that no room will get too crowded. Guests are invited to dress casually and participate!
Our goal is to connect our guests directly to the residents and members who are the recipients of your generosity and to give you a better understanding of what Lena Park is doing in 2017. We expect 350 guests, board, staff, and members to join in the festivities.
We are offering sponsorships for every room in our Community Center, and each room will feature a different ethnic cuisine and unique program. Funds raised will support all of the programs and services at Lena Park, including community engagement services, recreation, sports, the arts, technology, education, workforce development, after school program, and youth development activities. You may purchase tickets, sponsor a room, or donate a silent auction item.
Tickets are $100 per person and you may also buy a $50 ticket for a resident who would like to attend.
There are opportunities to sponsor a room at the $1,000, $2,500, and $5,000 levels. To learn more about sponsorship, please go to www.lenaparkcdc.org.
