What is The Laundromat Project's recipe for community building and creating change? The LP believes that everyone can be a creative community leader, which is why they support artists and neighbors in NYC with space, resources, and dedicated time so anyone can use art and creativity as they are #PropelledByLove to celebrate their communities and address social justice issues. The LP does this through its Create Change artist development program, arts education and festivals, and its Kelly Street Collaborative Space.

Recent events around immigrant rights, civil rights, housing rights, and (un)natural catastrophes continue to impact many in the communities to which The Laundromat Project is connected—only making our mission and our special recipe more critical in these times. The LP hopes to raise $40,000 over 10 days between October 28-November 6 to support #CreativeCatalysts in our NYC Anchor Neighborhoods of Bed-stuy (Brooklyn), Harlem, and Hunts Point/Longwood (South Bronx) so they can continue creative and #CommunityCentered work in 2018.

Please donate and spread the word about People Powered Challenge, The LP's annual grassroots community campaign where together we fundraise through the collective power of our networks to support #PeoplePowered art and change to strengthen our communities. Help us exceed our goal of $40,000 by Monday, November 6!
