Glide Memorial Church
Saturday, June 6
2-3pm
Tenderloin Voices
seeks to create a new narrative about young people experiencing homelessness, shift negative stigmas, and drive awareness of the positive impact of organizations like Larkin Street Youth Services. The performance premieres at
Glide Memorial Church
, a sanctuary with historical relevance supporting the plight of homeless youth in the Tenderloin dating back to the 1950’s. Funding will offset fees for Larkin Street participants who are being compensated for their collaboration in workshops, rehearsals, and performances as well as support the musicians leading the project. Additionally, with this funding, the project can expand with additional performances in the SF Bay Area to continue to drive awareness and impact a larger audience base to help amplify this community’s voice.
$40 donation
will get you free entrance to the performance
$80 donation
will get you free entrance for two to the performance
$150 donation
will get you a free one-year membership to the Tenderloin Museum
About Larkin Street Youth Services
Tonight, more than 1,100 young people will find themselves on the streets of San Francisco through no fault of their own.
Since 1984, Larkin Street Youth Services has given more than 75,000 young people a safe place to move from crisis to stability. We provide housing, education and employment training, and health and wellness supports to help young people get off the street for good.
Three out of four young people exit to stable housing when they leave Larkin Street!
