The Little Black Dress Initiative is a week long campaign at the beginning of December aimed at raising awareness of poverty in our local communities. Fundraisers wear the same black work outfit Monday - Friday to illustrate the restrictions that poverty places on choices, opportunities, and access to resources. By wearing a button that reads “Ask Me About My Dress,” I hope to invite dialogue among colleagues, friends, and strangers to raise awareness about the many challenges women in our service area face. I hope you'll consider supporting my efforts for this very worthwhile cause!
