Dear Friends & Family,
As you may know I have been a member of the Junior League of Morristown for 9 years. We are participating in the Little Black Dress Initiative (LBDI) to raise awareness about poverty in the Morris County area the week of November 18th. As a participant, I will be wearing one black outfit for five consecutive days to:
1. Highlight how limited resources impacts the ability to afford work-appropriate clothing needed
for economic growth above the poverty line;
2. Understand how limited resources can affect daily life;
3. Demonstrate how Junior League of Morristown (JLM) addresses these challenges; and
4. Fundraise to support the mission of the JLM to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of
women, and improve the lives of women and children in our community.
Specifically, the JLM’s community impact area focuses on developing programs and partnerships to assist teens in achieving their post high school goals. This is accomplished through access to resources such as
educational support, life skills support, and basic needs, which the Junior League of Morristown is helping to provide.

Poverty Unfashionable” by making a donation to the LBDI!
