Bacon / Pierce County 2019 End of Year Campaign
We are so thankful for the way our community works together to serve our children in foster care. As school started back this year, we were able to provide clothing and school supplies for our local kids in care. Thank you for supporting this effort.
Returning to school can be very emotional for students. For some, it’s the chaos of their home life and strained family dynamics. For others, there’s anxiousness over a new school and making new friends. For all of these students, there is comfort and encouragement in being able to start their first day with the supplies they need and appropriate clothing.
Last month, a Called to Care Chapter in another county had a need they were unable to meet. There was a young lady needing a homecoming dress, and she really wanted a purple one. We asked our community if anyone had a purple homecoming dress and had one donated in the exact size the young lady needed. This young lady allowed them to send us a picture of her in the dress ... she was the happiest person on earth that night.
She was smiling so big in her picture. They said that she just twirled and twirled in her new dress.
We love how God is in every detail of our lives and grateful He allows us to be a part of showing His love. In even the smallest of details, like a purple homecoming dress.
