We inspire and empower youth through growing, cooking, and sharing food!
Our curriculum-based, pay-what-you-can programs progress from basic food knowledge to advanced gardening and cooking skills. We engage middle school students (4th-8th graders) through after-school and in-school programs, spring and summer camps, field trips, and evening cooking classes.
We enhance learning opportunities by interweaving food growing and cooking with academic subjects such as math, science, and history — practice baking skills while learning about the science of liquids and solids! Our youth eat a snack or meal during programming and often to take home a sample of what we cook together, as well as vegetables we grow in the garden. We often work closely with partner organizations including nonprofits and schools, and customize our programs to integrate with our partners’ programs.
