The purpose of the GallantFew climbing program is to provide veterans with a physically demanding, group activity that promotes camaraderie, trust, and an active physical lifestyle.
The program is split into two parts, the indoor climbing linkups, and our outdoor therapeutic recreation program which takes veterans climbing outdoors, which is an entirely different experience from climbing indoors.
We use these climbing trips to bring veterans together from different areas to connect and share in a similar experience. We also use this opportunity as a chance to talk to these veterans about another part of the GallantlyFIT Program, Functional Emotional Fitness Coaching.
This coaching is designed to help veterans restructure their thought processes and reprogram habits that are not working.
