“With an ECAD Service Dog by my side, I would feel more like a normal person. I wouldn’t feel afraid all the time.
A dog such as Service Dogs-in-Training Ollie and Honor would most definitely help me have a more independent life.”

Meet ECAD’s Project HEAL Client Thomas Williamson

Thomas Williamson is one of America’s most highly decorated Vietnam veterans. His awards include The Silver Star, Bronze Star with Valor, and five Purple Hearts along with numerous high-level decorations. His service connected injuries have left him with profound physical disabilities and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. Due to his physical instability and his PTSD, many day-to-day situations are difficult for Tom, especially when he is at home by himself.

An ECAD Service Dog will enable Tom to move around the house with less fear of falling and will be trained to retrieve items such as his phone or keys if they accidently drop to the floor. In addition, his Service Dog will allow Tom to get out of the house, feel safe, and enjoy life again.

Thank you for your generous support to help ECAD educate a Service Dog for Thomas.
