“When we visited ECAD’s Canine Education and Wellness Center and met several of the Service Dogs-in-Training,
I knew immediately that a service dog will improve my son’s quality of life.” Becca Ericcson, Sven’s mom
Meet ECAD Client Sven Ericsson
Hi, my name is Sven. That’s what I go by, but my official name is Holger Ericsson IV. I was born in Taos, New Mexico on August 21, 2007, so I’m almost twelve. Now I live in Weston, Connecticut with my mom and two sisters. I like building and creating things.
Sometimes I get very frustrated and then I get very upset with people. I don’t like it when I get upset. I feel sad and the sad does not go away. I get nightmares and feel as if I can’t move. It is scary. I want to feel happy and just learn and play like a normal kid.
When I’m around a dog, especially a big friendly dog, I feel much calmer. That’s why I want to get an ECAD Service Dog to help me.
Thank you for your generous gifts to ECAD in honor of Sven Ericsson.
