Becky enjoyed being surronded by ECAD Service Dogs when she and her husband came to visit.
Her family know that being paired with a specially-educated service dog will improve the quality of her life.
Meet ECAD Client Rebecca Stewart
Rebecca (Becky) Ann Stewart was born and raised in Binghamton, New York. She moved with her husband Robert and their two small children to Geneva, New York in 1990, where they have resided ever since. Becky has always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going for walks, and meeting new people. For over thirty years she had a successful career working for the State of New York.
Sadly, Becky was diagnosed with the beginning stages of Parkinson’s disease six years ago. She and her family have been dealing with the physical, mental, emotional, and financial strain of her disease ever since.
One of Becky’s biggest limitations is confidence in public places, and walking on both stable and unstable surfaces. Becky has a fear of losing her balance and therefore relies on her cane. A specially-educated service dog will greatly increase her confidence with walking, assist her with rising from a seated position, and help with the retrieval of objects.
Becky and her family fully believe that an ECAD Service Dog will increase her quality of life and assist her with getting back to the activities she enjoyed so much as a healthy adult.
