When Kevin visited ECAD, and met several of the Service Dogs-in-Training,
he knew immediately that a service dog will improve his quality of life.
Meet ECAD Client Kevin McGovern
My name is Kevin. I am forty-eight years old and the proud father of my thirteen-year-old son, of whom I have shared custody. We live in Kittery, Maine, where I work as a computer analyst at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
About ten years ago, I was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease. More recently, I was also diagnosed with blepharospasm, a condition that sometimes keeps my eyes closed for several seconds at a time when I blink, effectively making me blind for brief periods.
An ECAD Service Dog will dramatically change my life. Since I am no longer able to drive, my dog will give me the freedom to walk safely and to become more independent. My dog will provide the companionship and support I desperately seek. I look forward to caring for and loving my new dog and best pal.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to ECAD in my name, to help educate a Service Dog for me and for others who are in need. Thanks to everyone at ECAD and thank you for all who donate.Thank you for your generous gifts to ECAD in honor of Kevin McGovern.
Donations are 100% tax-deductible as allowable by law. If your employer has a Matching Gift program, please complete the form and
mail it to ECAD, P.O. Box 831, Torrington, CT 06790.
