Since childhood, Greg always has had an ECAD Service Dog by his side to enable him to gain greater independence and mobility. Pictured with his second dog, Sprinkles, Greg is looking forward to being placed with his newest best friend.
Meet ECAD Client Gregory Demeule
My name is Greg Demeule, and I am a lifelong resident of New Hampshire and a client of ECAD since my childhood. I currently work as an Academic Advisor at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). Being born with Cerebral Palsy, daily life has its challenges with mobility and balance. I like to lead an active lifestyle with the likes of Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling training, but I always have to live with the reality of my disability no matter how ambitious I am. Also, as a recently college graduate, I am still finding my footing away from home.
ECAD Service Dogs have allowed me to live an independent lifestyle away from the need of assisted care or specialized living. This has not only opened the door to my freedom, but my self-affirmation and confidence. I truly feel that my life has a meaningful purpose as I travel around with my faithful companion.
Sadly, my second dog, Sprinkles, was diagnosed with a form of terminal cancer. The diagnosis was abrupt and severe. Although Sprinkles was ten years old, she fought an uphill battle with dignity to the end.
Now it is time for me to look forward to meeting my third ECAD Service Dog. I am kindly asking for any support and generosity you would be willing to lend for me and for people like me whose lives are more independent because of ECAD. I truly believe that ECAD will continue to change my life for the better.Thank you for your generous gifts to ECAD in honor of Gregory Demeule.
