Can you feel it? Spring is here, and we are excited to be embarking on another season of volunteer farming for hunger relief! Our farmers are hard at work preparing crop plans and seed orders, gathering supplies, and getting our equipment in shape. To help kickstart our growing season, you can join them in these preparations by donating to our Adopt-a-Row and Adopt-a-Tree programs.
It’s easy to get involved! You simply select a vegetable or tree to adopt, send in your donation, and our volunteers will tend and care for your crop all season long. Your donation will directly support your chosen crop by providing seeds and trays, potting soil, pruning shears, fertilizer, water, and other essential farm supplies.
Your support will go so much further than our fields. The average row yields over 2,900 servings of produce for donation each year and a single apple tree can over produce 700 apples -- all for hunger relief. Your donation will help provide healthy options for families just like yours throughout Worcester County, as one of our student visitors explains:
“Thank you for the opportunity to volunteer at your farm. We had a lot of fun picking 77 pounds of collard greens for a good cause. I liked being able to help families that can’t afford healthy food get some.

With your support, we will engage over 8,500 community members in 2018 who will help us grow and donate over 270,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to those who need them most. Our combined efforts will have a significant impact on the hunger relief agencies that we donate to.
Please help us kickstart a new season of growing healthy food and stronger communities by donating to our Adopt-a-Row or Adopt-a-Tree programs. Thank you for your support and for partnering with Community Harvest Project this growing season!
