Cappies supports the families of Majory Stoneman Douglas High School
Cappies was founded in the wake of the Columbine High School massacre in 1999 as an effort to bring more positive attention to teenagers engaged in creative pursuits. Cappies aims to provide creative students with a means of celebration for their achievements and to promote the arts as a form of healing in the face of adversity and trauma. Once again, violence has shaken our country, and in particular our Cappies community, to its core. We are reminded of the importance of theatre as both an outlet and a means of healing. Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS in Parkland, Florida is part of the South Florida Cappies family and has had a devastating loss of 17 students from their school community with many more injuries still untold.
Our Cappies families stand with the families at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS in their time of intense grief and loss.
Please help us send a gift to Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS in memory of the 17 slain students and teachers.
May we all have the strength and determination to stop these tragedies. We are proud of the students who are speaking out.
Thank you for your donation and gift to those at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS.
