2017 Baton Rouge Community Hunger Walk

Fundraising global stats: 76% left

Amount raised: $1,175

Amount left: $3,825

More than 18% of people in Baton Rouge are food insecure. Food insecurity refers to a situation where a person is not sure from where their next meal will come or whether a meal will come at all. The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and Holy Grill are places for those who are hungry to go to find food and aid, and to learn the skills they need to help them become self-sufficient in the future. All of the money and donations raised in the Hunger Walk are shared among these two organizations who help alleviate local hunger.

WHO: All proceeds generated at the Hunger Walk will stay in our local community, supporting the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and Holy Grill - a feeding program of the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge.

WHEN: Sunday, November 5, 2017. Registration begins at 1:30, Walk begins at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

WHERE: Catholic Life Center Campus, 1900 S. Acadian Thruway Baton Rouge, LA 70808

COST: Please consider making a donation to walk.
