In New York, Bottom Line helps over 2,500 low-income, first- generation students get into and graduate from college. Through individualized, professional counseling, we support students on every step towards earning a degree and going far in life.
Bottom Line’s trained counselors are committed to helping students overcome the immense obstacles they face. We work with students who have an average household income of under $22,000, and who are among the first in their families to attend college. We know that getting into college is a critical first step towards obtaining a degree, but students need support throughout college to ensure they graduate and enter successful professional lives.
That is why we support students in their academic pursuits for up to 6 years, in renewing scholarships and financial aid, in making wise financial decisions, in securing internships and gaining skills to set them up for success post-graduation, and in coping with challenging life circumstances. Our counselors regularly meet students on campus, connect via phone calls and Skype sessions, and send care packages to let them know they are cared for.
Why is college graduation so important to us? A degree is still the best guarantee of financial security and economic empowerment.
Thanks for helping to make the dreams of Bottom Line students a reality.
