The Atlanta Association of Black Journalists Turns 43!

Our nonprofit has been serving African-American journalists in metro-Atlanta for more than 40 years. We sponsor the award-winning public affairs program “In Contact.” We are also your local connection to the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).

Our members are in print, communications, public relations, radio, broadcast, digital and they are trailblazers in the literary world. We are innovative journalists, with an eye toward leveraging the Internet and its unique storytelling capabilities. Among our ranks are social media practitioners, digital content producers, and multimedia experts.

But AABJ is not just an organization; it’s a place to find and offer help. The opportunities we make available to our members are invaluable and during these turbulent economic times, we are your source for job leads and career development programs. In addition, we award thousands of dollars in scholarships each year.
