WSGE 91.7FM is a listener-funded radio station location on the campus of Gaston College in Dallas, NC - the station began broadcasting on October 27, 1980.  

Under the slogan "Your Independent Music Source", WSGE features adult alternative rock, blues, gospel and jazz.  In addition to those genres, the station is a 4-time award winning Beach & Shag Station.  Their NPR programs features news, public affairs and other popular shows like David Dye's World Cafe.  Also, The Roundtable Sunday Edition is a local news and public affiars show that is produced in-house by Randy Walker.  WSGE prides it's self on highlighting local musicians throughout the Carolinas.  Listeners are treated to a mix of music not commonly heard on commercial radio.
